Heart updates

Just like Glucool, I have just pushed the first major upgrade through to Heart since its launch. The main new features of version 1.2 are:

  • BP pie charts, giving you a simple overview of the distribution of your BP values (hypo, normal, pre-hyper etc.) in a selected timespan;
  • Improved weight graphs, with BMI ranges to easily see in which zone you lie;
  • Comments for each reading, e.g. “Just came home from running”;
  • Reminders for future readings, and custom ringtones;
  • Minor improvements on the weight journals; some measure their weight every day, others once a month etc; the journal now takes this into consideration;
  • HTML reports automatically written to the SD card, so that they can be fetched directly from there (some of you have had problems sending the report as an attachment – we’re still investigating the issue, but in the meantime, this kind of does the work).
  • UI shape-up (but the best is still to come ; -)

    Heart is a very good app. Potential improvements incude: 1) ability to edit BP notes without deleting and re-entering values; 2) Pie chart based on diastolic rather than (or as alternative to) systolic, as most physicians (in the UK at least) use the former to determine long term risk and requirement for medication as it is less affected by immediate activity etc; 3) BP graph showing several days readings overlaid by time of day, as profile within day, and approximate variation in profile day-to-day is of interest in judging response to medication.

    Hi Philip,
    Glad you like it! Point 1 is ready for the next release. Your other suggestions are very good, and I will try to incorporate them as well.
    Thanks!

    I really would like to see a CSV import ability so that I can ues past information that I have.
    I also would like Heart to create and use its own folder on the SD card.

    Really good app so far. Just evaluating the free app so if import is already in the paid app please let me know.

    Thanks

    Emmett

    Hi Emmett,
    Yes, this is a top priority of mine, and it should be rolled out soon.

    This is a great application,
    I am using it every day.
    My wife aswell. The problem is we need 2 different tablets to enter our respective numbers.
    Any chance to have multiple users in the release?
    Best Regards
